The Region 7-AAAAAA champion Blue Devils (31-13) will host Alpharetta in the Elite Eight on Oct. 21.
“I felt the difference in the match was our defense and ball control,” Norcross head coach Jeff Cerneka said. “Grayson (Taylor), Casa (Valentina Casagrade) and Dakota (Washington) were the backbone of our team today. They allowed us to run offense and control our side of the court. When you control the ball, you control the game.
“And then as she’s done all year, Sofia (Guerrero-Wilson) put us on her back when we needed it most. Moving forward, I’m really happy with where we’re at as a team. Looking ahead, we are excited to keep building on what we can accomplish on the court.”
