NORCROSS — Norcross cruised past South Gwinnett 25-12, 25-5, 25-17 in the first round of the Class AAAAAA state volleyball playoffs on Tuesday.
The Region 7-AAAAAA champions, now 30-12 on the season, advance to a Sweet 16 matchup at home against Lowndes on Saturday. Lowndes defeated Collins Hill 3-0 in the first round.
Norcross’ attack was fueled by 10 kills from Sofia Guerrero-Wilson, eight kills from Zoe O’Leary, seven kills from Jada Mickens and four kills from Whitney Willenborg.
Ellie Ruth Blue distributed 33 assists, and Dakota Washington had four digs.
