SUWANEE — Norcross defeated North Gwinnett and host Peachtree Ridge in its Region 7-AAAAAA volleyball openers on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils downed North 25-11, 26-24 and topped Peachtree Ridge 25-11, 27-25, improving to 17-11 overall.
Ellie Ruth Blue had 30 assists and 10 digs for the victors, Sofia Guerrero-Wilson had a team-high 17 kills and Grayson Taylor contributed 13 digs. Jada Mickens (seven kills, five blocks) and Whitney Willenborg (eight digs) also played well.
