The Varsity Cross Country athletes headed to Foxhall Sporting Club in Douglasville, Ga this past weekend for a huge Invitational. We had a ton of success and got a chance to show off all of their hard work so far in the season.
On the boys side, they competed in the Championship Race division with some of the best teams in the Southeast. The team finished in 15th place out of 39 teams that competed in the race. They were led by junior runner, Dsean Ban. He laid down a race to be remembered that solidified him as the 4th fastest cross country runner in Norcross History, running a 5K race in just 15:57.25. His name will be placed on the record board in the Commons that holds the top 5 runners. The rest of the team had a great day as well with a handful of runners running personal bests.

The girls team also had a really good day in the Varsity red race later in the morning. The team finished 16th out of 37 teams led by freshman runner, Anna Chou. She held on strong after a fast start finishing as our only medalist?? for the day finishing in 10th place with a time of 20:01.53. Just as a freshman, she is already in the top 15 girls' cross country runners in Norcross History. The rest of the ladies held down a great team performance and are shaping into their own as the post season is less than a month away.
