Norcross senior Will Thiry earned one of the three Britt Kearce Memorial Scholarships for the 2025-26 school year, Positive Athlete Georgia announced Tuesday.
The scholarships honor Kearce, a beloved mentor in the metro Atlanta baseball community. Each scholarship is $3,000 and is presented to a baseball player who embodies Kearce’s values — love for baseball, commitment to self improvement and positive influence in the community.
Thiry, a Gordon State signee, was the Blue Devils’ MVP this past season and earned second-team all-county honors as a catcher. His .510 batting average and .636 on-base percentage this season are the highest for Norcross since at least 2013.
He also held a 3.77 GPA.
