SUWANEE — Norcross, ranked No. 6 in Class AAAAAA, outlasted No. 10 North Gwinnett on penalty kicks in an important Region 7-AAAAAA girls soccer match on Tuesday.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw before Norcross won 2-1 on penalty kicks with Mia Ramos at goalkeeper. E.V. Kim, Nyla Brown, Macie Rogers and Sophie Dommert converted PKs for the Blue Devils (7-1, 2-0 region).

Brown scored Norcross’ goal in regulation with assists from Kim and Lily Armes.

North falls to 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the region.
