LAWRENCEVILLE — Norcross head baseball coach Aaron Wilkens earned his 200th victory victory with Tuesday’s 3-2 triumph over West Forsyth.
Wilkens’ team continues its strong start with a 7-0 record thanks to the latest victory at Gwinnett Field, home of the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers.
Brayden Long was the winning pitcher after 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. He also was 1-for-2 and scored two runs to help the offense.
Wes Thiry also pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up two earned runs.
Will Thiry and Matthew Isaacson had two hits each to lead the Norcross attack. Andrew Langley drove in a run on a sacrifice fly and Ryan Lee went 1-for-3.
