Norcross senior Sophie Katz received her Letter of Appointment from the United States Military Academy in West Point (N.Y.).

Katz has been an all-county and all-region goalkeeper for the Norcross girls soccer program, in addition to being the Blue Devils’ Scholar-Athlete selection from the Gwinnett Goal Club. She also ran cross country this past season and maintains a 4.3 GPA, ranking third academically in Norcross' senior class.

After her acceptance into the prestigious academy, she has the option to join the Army women’s soccer program.
