NORCROSS — Norcross bounced back from a heartbreaking loss for a 34-0 victory at Meadowcreek in Region 7-AAAAAA football on Friday.
The Blue Devils (4-2, 2-1 region), who lost 24-22 to Peachtree Ridge last week when a late two-point conversion attempt failed, rebounded well early with a pair of first-quarter touchdowns against winless Meadowcreek.
Sylvester Jarwlee scored on a 2-yard run for the first score before Logan Herring found Khalil Talley for a 10-yard TD pass. Meadowcreek’s defense held up in the second quarter and limited the Blue Devils to one score, a 47-yard field goal by Elijah Frey.
Norcross stretched the lead to 24-0 in the third quarter on Tommie Traylor’s 4-yard TD run, and it was followed by Anthony Allen’s 30-yard interception return for a score. Allen had two interceptions for a defense that also got sacks from Carter Luckie and Rah’ja Wisdom.
Lucas Williamson capped the scoring with a 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
